On Friday, 12th June 2026, LUMS held its Annual Dinner for Patrons and Friends of LUMS at the Marriott Hotel Karachi. Ihsan Trust, a proud supporter of LUMS, was once again recognized for its continued commitment to education and student support. This marked the third consecutive year ( 2024, 2025 & 2026) in which Ihsan Trust received an Appreciation Shield from LUMS in recognition of its contributions towards providing financial students of LUMS in need.
Ihsan Trust was honored to participate in the Islamic Finance Seminar at Bahria University, held on 5th March at Fatima Jinnah Hall, centered on the theme: “From Riba to Appropriate Risk Allocation: The Core Philosophy of Islamic Banking” & “Ihsan Trust”. Ihsan Trust’s General Manager, Mr. Fayyaz ur Rehman Khan, joined Mufti Zubair Ahmed (Sharia Board Member, Meezan Bank) to discuss the philosophical and practical dimensions of Islamic banking & Ihsan Trust’s contribution in promoting accessibility to Higher Education in Pakistan. The seminar was organized by the Center for Islamic and Sustainable Finance (CISF) in collaboration with Bahria Business School, under Bahria University, with valuable contributions from Dr. Muhammad Asif, Dr. Mubasher Ali Khan, and Dr. Muhammad Faisal. Through such platforms, Ihsan Trust continues to advocate for interest-free education financing, ensuring that financial barriers do not limit potential. Be part of this mission. Support a student. MoU Signing Between Ihsan Trust and Bin Qutab College of Health Sciences Chakwal Ihsan Trust is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bin Qutab College of Health Sciences Chakwal to provide Shariah compliant, Interest Free educational loans to their deserving students, supporting access to quality education and empowering future healthcare professionals. The MoU was signed between Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan - General Manager Ihsan Trust and Mr. Muhammad Tauqeer Malik- CEO Bin Qutab Foundation (which has established this Health Institute) in the presence of Ms. Sameena Akseer - Marketing Manager Ihsan Trust, and Mr. Ijaz Ali Khan - Director Operations Bin Qutab Foundation. The signing took place during Bin Qutab Foundation’s Annual Fundraising Dinner at PC Hotel Larachi on Feb 04, 2026, attended by distinguished guests from Meezan Bank Limited, HBL Foundation, State Life Insurance Corporation of Pakistan, Bank Alfalah, National Bank of Pakistan, Sui Southern Gas Company etc. On this occasion, Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan was presented with an Appreciation Shield as well in recognition of Ihsan Trust’s commitment to student support and social impact. Renewal MOU between Ihsan Trust and NED University Ihsan Trust recently renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NED University of Engineering & Technology, reaffirming a shared commitment to supporting deserving and talented students through Interest-Free Educational Loans. The MoU was formally signed between Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan - General Manager Ihsan Trust and Mr. Ghazanfar Hussain - Registrar NED University. The MoU renewal ceremony was attended by Ms. Sameena Akseer - Marketing Manager Ihsan Trust, along with Dr Ali Hasan Mahmood - Controller Students Affairs NED. Other respected officials from NED included Prof Dr Noman Ahmed - Pro Vice Chancellor, Madam Tarannum Ghaffar - Additional Controller Students Affairs, Mr Kaivan Lor- Deputy Controller Students Affairs & others.
MOU Renewal Signing Ceremony between Ihsan Trust and Habib University to Provide Interest-Free Loan Facility to Deserving Students Alhamdulillah, on December 18, 2025, Ihsan Trust (IT) and Habib University signed a Renewal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to continue providing Interest-Free Loan facilities to the deserving students of Habib University on a purely "Need-cum-Merit" basis. The signing ceremony was held at Habib University and the MOU was signed by Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan - General Manager Ihsan Trust, and Mr. Mohsin Rizvi - Director Student Recruitment & Admissions, Habib University. The ceremony was witnessed by Ms. Sameena Akseer (Marketing Manager - IT), Mr. Sarfaraz Shaikh (Manager Finance - Habib University), and Mr. Syed Muhammad Usama Ali (Senior Officer Finance - Habib University).
MOU Renewal Signing Ceremony between Ihsan Trust and KIET to Provide Interest-Free Loan Facility to Deserving Students Alhamdulillah, on December 10, 2025, Ihsan Trust (IT) and Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology (KIET) signed a Renewal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to continue providing Interest-Free Loan facilities to deserving students of KIET on a purely “Need-cum-Merit” basis. The signing ceremony took place at KIET North Nazimabad Campus Karachi, between Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan – General Manager, Ihsan Trust, and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khalid Khan - Acting President & Dean CIS, KIET University. This renewed partnership reflects the strong commitment of both institutions toward making higher education financially accessible. Alhamdulillah, Ihsan Trust has already supported 81 students of KIET to the tune of around Rs. 13 Million so far, through its Interest-Free Loan Program, enabling them to pursue their academic goals without financial constraints.
MOU Signing Ceremony between Ihsan Trust and Baqai Medical University (BMU) to Provide Interest-Free Loan Facility to the deserving Students of BMU. Alhamdulillah, on Thursday, November 20, 2025, Ihsan Trust (IT) and Baqai Medical University ( BMU) signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to continue providing the Interest-Free Loan facility to the deserving students of BMU on a purely “Need-cum-Merit” basis. The signing ceremony took place at BMU Main campus, Super Highway M-9, between Mr. Fayyaz ur Rehman Khan – General Manager Ihsan Trust and Prof. Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed - Ex-Officio Chairperson & Vice Chancellor Baqai Medical University. This partnership aims to strengthen the cooperation between IT and BMU, ensuring that deserving students admitted in BMU can continue their Higher Education without financial constraints. Alhamdulillah, so far, Ihsan Trust has facilitated and assisted around 20 students of BMU through the Interest-Free Loan disbursements of around 20 Million Rupees, enabling them to pursue higher education with dignity. Through this collaboration, both institutions reaffirm their shared commitment to promoting accessible higher education and supporting talented individuals who aspire to excel academically.
Ihsan Trust conducted another Specialized Course on Fundamentals of Islamic Finance” held at KSBL. On 14 & 15 November 2025, a dedicated course on “Fundamentals of Islamic Finance” was conducted at KSBL, made possible through the joint collaboration of Ihsan Trust, Meezan Bank Limited, and KSBL. The initiative saw enthusiastic participation from 70+ students from KSBL and various universities across Karachi. The program commenced with Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan - General Manager of Ihsan Trust, introduced the organization and highlighted its services - including the provision of interest-free student loan facility for Higher Education to more than 5,000 students across over 185 universities and professional bodies nationwide. The "Fundamentals of Islamic Finance session" was led by Mufti Zubair Ahmed - Shariah Board Member at Meezan Bank Ltd. The course covered key Islamic finance concepts such as Riba (interest), Maisir (gambling), Gharar (uncertainty), and the foundational principles of Islamic financial systems.

Alhamdulillah, on November 06, 2025, Ihsan Trust (IT) and Lasbela University University of Agriculture Water & Marine Sciences (LUWAMS) signed a Renewal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to continue providing the Interest-Free Loan facility to the deserving students of LUWAMS on purely “Need-cum-Merit” basis. The signing ceremony took place at the LUWAMS Uthal, Baluchistan between Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan – General Manager, Ihsan Trust, and Dr. Marghazani Pro Vice Chancellor LUWAMS. This partnership aims to further strengthen the bond of cooperation between IT and LUWAMS, ensuring that deserving students admitted on merit in LUWAMS can continue their education without financial barriers. Alhamdulillah, so far, IT has facilitated and assisted around 15 students of the university through loan disbursements amounting to PKR 3 Million. Through this collaboration, both institutions reaffirm their shared commitment for promoting accessible higher education and supporting talented individuals who aspire to achieve academic excellence.
MOU Renewal Signing Ceremony between Ihsan Trust and University of Karachi (KU) to Provide the Interest-Free Loan Facility to KU's Deserving Students. Alhamdulillah, on November 03, 2025, Ihsan Trust (IT) and the University of Karachi (KU) signed a Renewal Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to continue providing the the Interest-Free Loan facility to the deserving students of KU on purely "Need Cum Merit" basis. The signing ceremony took place at KU between Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan - General Manager Ihsan Trust and Prof. Dr. Khalid Mehmood Iraqi - Vice Chancellor, University of Karachi. This partnership aims to strengthen the relationship of cooperation between IT and KU, working together to ensure that deserving students admitted on merit in KU can continue their education without financial constraints. Alhamdulillah, so far, IT has facilitated and assisted around 440 students of KU by providing them the loan funds to the tune of more than Rupees 41 Million. Through this collaboration, both institutions reaffirm their shared commitment to promoting accessible higher education and supporting talented individuals who aspire to achieve academic excellence. The MOU signing ceremony was graced by other representatives as well from IT and Meezan Bank Limited (MBL), including Mr. Farhan ul Haq Usmani – EVP, Shariah Audit Head (MBL.), Muhammad Shoaib Shaikh – Regional General Manager (MBL), Muhammad Inamuddin – Area Manager (MBL) and Ms. Samina Akseer – Marketing Manager (IT).
Islamic Banking & Ihsan Trust Awareness Session at ICMA North Nazimabad Campus Karachi. In collaboration with Meezan Bank Ltd & ICMA International, Ihsan Trust successfully conducted an Islamic Banking and Ihsan Trust Awareness Session Program at ICMA North Nazimabad Campus Karachi on Tuesday October 28, 2025. The session (conducted by Mufti Zubair Ahmed- Shariah Board Member - Meezan Bank Ltd) aimed to educate students about the fundamentals of Islamic banking and finance, highlighting how it aligns with the principles of Shariah-compliant financial practices. The participants (around 50 students & faculty) gained valuable insights into the concept of interest-free financing and its role in building an ethical and equitable financial system. After that, the General Manager Ihsan Trust - Mr Fayyaz-ur-Rehman Khan shared details about Ihsan Trust's Interest-Free Financing facility, emphasizing the Trust’s mission to support deserving students across Pakistan in pursuing their higher and professional education without financial worries and burden.
Ihsan Trust Conducted an Awareness session on Islamic Banking and Ihsan Trust at ICMA International Main Campus Gulshan e Iqbal Karachi. An insightful session on Ihsan Trust and Islamic Banking & Finance was held at the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants (ICMA) International at their Main Campus Gulshan e Iqbal Karachi on Tuesday, 21st October 2025. The session featured Mr. Zubair Ahmed - Shariah Board Meember Meezan Bank Ltd, who elaborated on the core principles of Islamic banking, and Mr. Fayyaz ur Rehman Khan GM - Ihsan Trust, who informed the audience about Ihsan Trust, its working and how it helps the students in need for their fee payments of Higher & Professional Education. The event was attended by students of ICMA alongside Mr Laal Muhammad Lakhan- South Director, Syed Javed Akhtar - Director Internal Audit ICMA & senior faculty members of ICMA. It provided a comprehensive understanding of Islamic finance and highlighted the impactful initiatives undertaken by Ihsan Trust to support Higher Education and social welfare.
The winners of Ihsan Trust's Quiz Competition visit Ihsan Trust's Head Office Ihsan Trust organized an exciting Lucky Draw Quiz competition winners ceremony last month, held at Ihsan Trust's Head Office. The event aimed to engage and appreciate the enthusiastic involvement of the participants. Winners of the Quiz competition Lucky Draw were Ms. Kiran Ehsan & Mr. Anas Ali Ashraf. The winners were presented with special gifts (Ms. Kiran's husband received the gift on her behalf) by Ihsan Trust as a token of appreciation for their active participation. The lucky winners expressed their gratitude towards Ihsan Trust for providing them with this memorable opportunity and for encouraging a spirit of learning and engagement.
Alhamdulillah, a new MoU Signed with Al-Kawthar University. On September 19, 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Ihsan Trust (IT) and Al-Kawthar University ( AL- KU) Karachi to provide the Interest-Free Loan facility to the deserving students of AL-KU on purely "Need-Cum-Merit" basis. The MoU was formally signed by Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob - Vice Chancellor Al-Kawthar University and Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan - General Manager Ihsan Trust. The signing ceremony was also witnessed by other senior members of AL- KU including Dr. Afaq Ali Khan - Associate Professor, Director Academics, Dr. Ashfaq A. Malik - Director QEC, Mr. Immad Uddin - Director Facilities & Services, Registrar Dr. Rida Ahmed and others. Besides them, Mr. Shoeb Muhammad Shaikh RGM-Meezan Bank Ltd and Ms Samina Akseer - Marketing Manager - Ihsan Trust also witnessed the signing ceremony. Al-Kawthar University is established to bridge the gap in modern education by integrating Islamic principles with contemporary learning. The university aims to provide a balanced education, combining rigorous academic training with the moral and ethical values inspired by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the early generations of Muslims.

On September 02, 2025, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Ihsan Trust (IT) and Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan (ICMAP) to provide the Interest-Free Loan facility to the deserving students pursuing their professional education from ICMAP for their Examination fee, Registration fee etc on purely "Need-Cum-Merit" basis. The MoU was formally signed by Mr. Hakim Ali - FCMA Chairman Karachi Branch Council ICMAP and Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan - General Manager Ihsan Trust. Ihsan Trust conducted another "Two-Day specialized Course on Fundamentals of Islamic Finance" held at ICAP. On August 01 & 02, 2025, a special two-day course on “Fundamentals of Islamic Finance” was conducted at ICAP, made possible through the joint collaboration of Ihsan Trust, Meezan Bank Limited and ICAP. The initiative saw active participation from 70+ students of ICAP and different universities of Karachi, who attended the sessions with great enthusiasm. The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem. Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan - General Manager of Ihsan Trust, introduced the organization and shared that Ihsan Trust services of providing the interest-free loan facility to over 4,800 students across more than 180 universities and Professional bodies nationwide. Madam Shumaila Halu, representing ICAP, shared insights about the CA program and various educational schemes and opportunities available to students. The main session was conducted by Mufti Zubair Ahmed Sahib, Shariah Board Member at Meezan Bank Ltd. The whole course, focusing on concepts such as Riba (interest), Maisir (gambling), Gharar (uncertainty), and the core principles of Islamic financial systems.
Renewal of MoU between Ihsan Trust and UIT University to provide Interest Free Loan facility to deserving students. Alhamdulillah, on July 29, 2025, Ihsan Trust (IT) proudly renewed its Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UIT University. This continued partnership aims to support more deserving students at UIT University this year and coming years by providing financial assistance, ensuring they can pursue their higher education without financial barriers. UIT University is a reputable institution committed to delivering quality education across various disciplines. So far, IT has already facilitated around 30 students at UIT University to the tune of around Rs. 4.0 million and in this year (2025) alone, around 20 more students will be provided the financial assistance by IT. The signing ceremony took place at the UIT University main campus in Karachi, where Mr. Fayyaz Ur Rehman Khan – General Manager of Ihsan Trust, and Dr Valiuddin - Vice Chancellor UIT University formalized the renewal of this meaningful collaboration. The event was also attended by key representatives from UIT University including their Provost - Dr. Kashif Mehmood, Registrar - Mr. Amir Siddiqui, Director Admissions & External Affairs - Mr. Muhammad Uzair Rizwan, Director Finance - Ms. Shabana Naz and from Ihsan Trust, Ms. Samina Akseer- Marketing Manager was also present to witness the ceremony.
